The mission of the AJC is to actively promote and safeguard the security, human rights, and just
treatment of the Anuak people around the world, particularly in the Gambella region of Ethiopia and southern Sudan, and to protect
and preserve Anuak culture.
The goals of this mission are as follows:
- To serve as a catalyst for building strong and vibrant Anuak communities worldwide
- To advocate for the safety, security, democracy, and autonomy of the Anuak people in Gambella, Ethiopia at the local, regional,
national and international level
- To plan and implement effective public relations programs between the Anuak and the international community
- To develop effective public information and educational programs relating to issues affecting the Anuak community
- To cooperate with other agencies whose activities are consistent with the overall purposes of the Anuak Justice Council
